A “Folly” architectural monument to a future Pantisocracy (derived from the Greek pant-isocratia -- an all-governing society or form of utopian social organization in which ALL ARE EQUAL in social position and responsibility. The model for the monument was conceived as an homage to Pantisocratic Theorists Sir Thomas Moore (“Utopia”), Francis Bacon (“New Atlantis”), and poet Samuel Coleridge. Inspired by the Luxor Obelisk of Place de La Concorde and the Pyramide du Louvre by I.M. Pei, James Flynn’s architectural model “Eyecatcher” sculpture is composed of marble, dichroic glass, and transparent acrylic cubes.
