Bay St Louis MS based artist, Kerr Grabowski, is known for her mixed media work and elegantly whimsical wearable pieces. After twenty-two years in rural New Jersey where she headed the Fibers Program at Peters Valley School of Craft, Kerr returned in 2011 to her Mississippi roots. Currently her work concerns coming to terms with those roots, what is hidden and what is revealed. Kerr is a recipient of both the Mississippi Council on the Arts Fellowship and the NJ Arts Fellowship. She exhibits and teaches internationally. In her search for a more direct and painterly way to print, Kerr developed Deconstructed Screen Printing. She produced the DVD Deconstructed Screen Printingon her technique.
