“We as a society often turn our eyes away from issues that make us uncomfortable. I want to put some of these issues front and center with this piece. All of us have been affected one way or another by racial or gender discrimination, gun violence, addiction, teen pregnancy/high rate of STDs, mental health and other social issues. Let’s talk about these elephants and work toward meaningful change.”
