INTRO TO MIG WELDING

Learn welding basics while creating a small tabletop sculpture with sculptor Erica Larkin Gaudet.

This hands-on, project-based workshop introduces you to the art of welding and sculpture making. Through demonstrations and guided practice, you’ll learn how to operate a MIG welder, cut steel with a chop saw, and use a handheld grinder to clean up your welds.

We’ll practice all three techniques, with time to build confidence and improve your welds. The class emphasizes approachable skills that make working with steel accessible to people without extensive workshops, tool collections, or previous experience.
