Kathy Hughes is a New Orleans artist working in the medium of Encaustic painting. She first discovered Encaustic twenty one years ago at a workshop and has been incorporating Encaustic paint with Mixed Media ever since to create her abstract artworks. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art with a major in Ceramics from Tulane University and an M.Ed. in Art Education from William Carey College. Her work has been represented by Cole Pratt Gallery for the past 15 years.
